Let’s blow this up big!
Ok so the framework is now laid for customizing your ship! Big step forward guys! I’ve added the functionality to install stations. I’m going to spend the next week making items out of the stations that are already in game.
The goal is a bit like the sims in that you can place stations wherever you’d like. I haven’t decided on if I want to shoe horn in any restrictions/bonuses for placement or just let the player have at it. I really want to avoid cookie cutter layouts. You have to be careful though – once oxygen is in placing all your eggs in one basket (or room!) could be fatal. If all oxygen is gone in that room you’ll never be able to access your ships functions!
I’ve added a element to the HUD that shows your current equipped weapon. This is important, because it also shows your ammo! When you equip armor your hud changes to an armored hud (not animated yet though)
Some items have limited ammo – such as the shotgun! It only has about 10 rounds available to the player
